Theme of this Workshop : Lean Engineering         A growing number of industrial groups are interested in Lean engineering: some estimate of the potential while others have already launched major initiatives. But what exactly that Lean engineering? Long applied to production processes or business processes, Lean thinking is deployed on the engineering and lends itself to various interpretations: Some see it as a declination to development of the precepts of lean manufacturing: reduce the stockpiles (of information), reduce non-value added tasks (finding information ...), better schedule tasks to reduce cycle , etc... Others see a revolution, inspired by Toyota, the principles of design: push very far in detail the feasibility in phases, justify any specification by the knowledge acquired in the past or acquire knowledge missing, etc.. This third session of the Think Tank will tackle Lean engineering, with your real problems,  and solutions shall be found together around a debate. Context        

After the Think Tank dedicated to Learning First Product Development in 2008, Vinci Consulting and TargetedConvergence are pleased to announce a new edition of their Training Sessions dedicated to "Lean Approaches" to Engineering.         "Learning First Product Development" and "Set-Based Thinking" are two key concepts identified by Michael N. Kennedy during his study of Toyota Product Development System. As a CEO of TargetedConvergence and author of the book "Ready, Set, Dominate", he will animate the workshop. Who should attend ? Industrial Corporations Executive Management and Product Development Leaders willing to : Understand the potential of "Learning First Product Development", Share ideas and return on experience with other companies Executives, Initiate a Change Program in their Engineering - R&D Department

Why a workshop?

The workshop will gather a group of Executives from industrial sector. Through the session, any one of you will be able to expose its problematics in a 15-minutes presentation.
